How to request deletion of your account and related personal information in the Dominicargo app.
1. Requesting account deletion
Users may request account deletion from the Dominicargo app under Settings > Security, using the Request Account Deletion button.
The deletion request process includes:
- Selecting a deletion reason
- Providing optional additional details
- Confirming acknowledgment that account access will be disabled immediately
Deletion requests are submitted securely through the app and do not require sending an email request.
2. Immediate account disablement
Once a deletion request is submitted:
- Account access is immediately disabled
- Login access is removed
- The user is automatically signed out of the application
- New login attempts will display a message indicating the account is pending deletion review
3. Internal review process
Deletion requests enter an internal customer service review process to verify:
- Shipment activity
- Pending balances
- Active deliveries
- Fraud prevention requirements
- Legal or operational obligations
Requests may be marked as: Pending, In Review, Deleted, or Cancelled.
4. Information retained
Certain records may be temporarily retained as required for:
- Shipment history
- Payment records
- Customs compliance
- Fraud prevention
- Legal obligations
- Operational dispute resolution
Retained information is limited to what is reasonably necessary for legal or operational purposes.
5. Permanent deletion
Once internal review requirements are completed, the remaining account information will be permanently deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe consistent with operational and legal requirements.
